Job summary

PCC Airfoils, LLC in Douglas, GA is seeking a Touch Up Operator in Finishing to perform QES-driven visual inspections and rework as needed. The role requires lifting light to moderate loads, operating air tools, and performing grit blasting within a dusty environment.

Standard duties include ensuring parts meet quality standards, with mandatory overtime and potential training responsibilities. High school diploma and nine months of OJT are required.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Nine months OJT training is required.
• Ability to perform touch-up work per QES and directives.

Responsibilities

• Read and apply the Quality Engineering Specification (QES) to visual inspection of a casting using a scan pattern.
• Evaluate indications and decide to accept or reject the casting based on QES.
• Operate air powered tools to remove defects and/or rework castings.
• Grit blast parts in an enclosed grit blast cabinet as needed.
• Perform “Toy Soldier” inspection to identify differences per the QES.
• Lift individual parts up to 6 pounds and trays up to 25 pounds.
• Touch up all parts within the area.
• May train Touch Up Operators as required.
• Work daily overtime and weekend overtime as necessary.
