Job summary

Snelling is hiring an Airfield Maintenance Associate to support the maintenance and upkeep of airport grounds, buildings, roadways, runways, equipment, and facilities. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn airport work-order and payroll systems.
• Ability to operate various motorized equipment.
• Ability to obtain a pesticide applicator license.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair runways, taxiways, roadways, parking lots, grounds, buildings, fences, gates, doors, and site utilities.
• Perform landscaping, including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, fertilizing, grading, and drainage work.
• Paint runway, taxiway, roadway, parking lot, and other safety markings.
• Remove trash, litter, leaves, snow, and ice.
• Perform light construction and general maintenance.
• Operate a variety of commercial and industrial equipment.
