Job summary

The Lincoln Airport Authority is seeking an Airport Maintenance technician for the evening shift to keep the airport and industrial park grounds looking their best. Duties include grounds maintenance, landscaping, mowing, and safely operating a variety of equipment from small tools to heavy maintenance vehicles.

The role requires safety focus, the ability to work at heights, and readiness for overtime during snow removal or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and implement FAR PART 139 provisions.
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance principles.
• Ability to report conditions clearly in writing.
• Willingness to work overtime for deadlines and emergencies.
• Basic computer skills to access manuals and records.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• Must be able to work at heights of up to 40 feet.
• Carpentry, plumbing, and welding knowledge desirable.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on equipment and report malfunctions.
• Maintain buildings and facilities of the airport and industrial park.
• Operate heavy and light equipment safely for airfield and park work.
• Remove trees, clear debris, mow grass, seal cracks, and perform related tasks.
• Hours may vary during snow removal and emergencies.
• Maintain reliable, punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
