Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is seeking squadron operations support personnel to manage long- and short-range flying schedules for a B-52H unit at a major U.S. base. The role requires coordinating with wing scheduling, higher HQ, and outside agencies to align exercises and mission taskings.

The position emphasizes updating PEX systems and related databases, optimizing crew utilization, and maintaining schedules amid changing priorities and weather constraints.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance, or a previously held SECRET clearance that expired and was not revoked.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working as a squadron aircrew scheduler.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with PEX or a similar proprietary scheduling program.

Responsibilities

• Build the long-range and short-range flying schedule to cover aircrew, instructor, evaluator, supervisor and support positions.
• Coordinate with Wing Scheduling, outside agencies and higher headquarters on exercise and event scheduling (RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG, Weapons School).
• Coordinate daily/weekly with squadron, group and wing leadership to facilitate flying operations.
• Determine flight, ground and simulator requirements based on syllabus, weather and range availability.
• Arrange the schedule against DO priorities with training officers and related offices.
• Update Patriot Excalibur (PEX) and local databases; publish schedules for ground, academic, flying and simulator assets.
• Track leave, TDY, medical appointments and other commitments; deconflict crews.
• Obtain aircraft and equipment availability from maintenance and schedule crews accordingly.
• Schedule aircrews by experience to mitigate Operational Risk Management.
• Attend Special Use Airspace meetings for coordination and deconfliction.
• Produce Flying Effectiveness and Flying Hour Program inputs.
