Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking a Load Planner to manage payload planning and departure documents related to aircraft weight and balance for mainline departures. You will guide fuel distribution, support fuel vendors and maintenance, and ensure compliance with agency and manufacturer specs to keep flights safe and on schedule.

The role requires strong problem-solving ability, office-based work, and the ability to work under time constraints while communicating clearly with multiple teams.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment.
  • Able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, strong decision-making, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an informational source for weight and balance questions for multiple departments/divisions.
  • Coordinate with internal resources while working under time constraints to dispatch flights safely, securely, and with an accurate WDR.
  • Provide instructions for distributing fuel and assisting fuel vendors and maintenance personnel with non-standard fueling procedures.
  • Resolve issues relating to aircraft weight and balance, ensuring compliance with company, federal and/or manufacturer specifications.
