Job summary

AAR Aircraft Services Greensboro is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to manage the storage and issuance of aircraft tools, free stock and materials in a structured environment at our Greensboro facility.

You will perform daily tooling audits, verify tool condition and calibration, and ensure proper documentation and location control while maintaining readiness and safety in a heavy maintenance setting.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance knowledge required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of heavy maintenance tooling and familiarity with aircraft tooling and parts preferred.
• Previous experience in a heavy maintenance environment preferred.
• Must possess computer skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in standard English.

Responsibilities

• Control and issuance of aircraft tools, general purpose tools, test equipment, free stock and materials.
• Accurately perform Daily Tooling Audits as assigned.
• Verify tools, tool kits and test equipment are complete and in serviceable condition prior to issue and return to location.
• Ensure caps/plugs are in place before returning tools to location.
• Verify calibrated tools have legible stickers and are within serviceable date.
• Calibrate and serviceability verification; route out-of-calibration items in the StAAR System.
• Maintain tools and materials in designated locations for easy access.
• Protect aircraft tools, parts and materials from damage or deterioration.
• Assist Tool Support with routing tools for calibration and repair.
• Complete multi-shift tooling forms before checkout and after return from long-term use.
• Verify that multi-shift reports are clear before release of aircraft.
• All other duties as assigned.
