Job summary

AAR Corp is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to manage the storage and issuance of aircraft tools, equipment, and free stock. You will perform daily tooling audits, verify tool serviceability, and ensure proper calibration labeling.

The role requires strong attention to detail and reliable computer skills. Work in an office setting within a heavy maintenance environment, with responsibilities spanning tool control, storage, and coordination with tooling support.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person required under ITAR rules (citizen, national, permanent resident, or refugee/asylum status).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of heavy maintenance tooling and familiarity with aircraft tooling/parts preferred.
• Previous heavy maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have computer skills and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to communicate effectively in standard English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Control and issue aircraft tools, general tools, test equipment, free stock and materials.
• Perform daily tooling audits as assigned by Tooling Lead.
• Verify tools and test equipment are complete and serviceable before issue.
• Ensure caps/plugs are in place and items are properly located after use.
• Check that calibrated tools have legible stickers and valid service dates.
• Verify calibration/serviceability before issuing; log in StAAR system.
• Maintain tools and materials in designated locations for easy access.
• Store aircraft tools/parts to protect from damage.
• Assist Tool Support with routing tools for calibration/repair.
• Complete multi-shift tool forms before checkout and after long-term use.
• Ensure multi-shift report is clear before aircraft release.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
