Job summary

Phoenix Logistics, LLC is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to provide engineering SME support for threat modeling and simulation of aircraft subsystems. You will advise on technical characteristics, employment, and simulated performance within a government program environment.

Responsibilities include supporting integration, conducting V&V reviews, and assisting with backlog and sprint planning to ensure subsystems meet real-world requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master of Science or engineering degree or equivalent technical education with 8 years of experience.
• A Bachelor of Science or engineering degree with 12 years of experience.
• Or, in lieu of a degree, 20 years of relevant experience in the subject area.
• Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance desired.
• Preferred: U.S. Air Force aviation experience (fighter/attack pilot, weapons officer, or related aircrew).

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on technical characteristics, employment, and simulated performance of aircraft subsystems.
• Support integration and testing of updated aircraft subsystem models with engineering teams.
• Evaluate surrogate models for fidelity against real subsystem performance and data.
• Review test results for subject-matter accuracy during V&V activities.
• Participate in DRB to address subsystem behavior deficiencies and timelines.
• Assist in technical reviews and demonstrations by validating simulated performance.
• Contribute to backlog grooming and kickoff meetings with SME input on subsystems.
• Decompose operational requirements into SME guidance for software development.
