Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. in Adelanto, CA, is seeking an Integration Technician for the 2nd shift on the Composite team.

You will coordinate and perform complex structural, composite, and electrical installations, testing and modifications on aircraft systems according to technical orders. The role requires extensive experience with aircraft structures and avionics, plus the ability to troubleshoot, document outcomes, and train less experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or military/trade equivalence and 8+ years in aircraft assembly or maintenance.
• Technical understanding of structural, composite, mechanical and electrical systems and related processes.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals; installing, inspecting and testing assemblies.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• A composite trade school certificate, FAA A&P license, or related training desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, install, modify and test aircraft structural, composite, avionics and electrical systems.
• Investigate requirements, propose solutions to meet performance and safety standards.
• Perform complex repairs on composites, metals, and assemblies and document results.
• Provide technical support at customer or field locations and troubleshoot issues.
• Evaluate data to identify causes and remedies, and implement updates.
• Complete documentation per procedures and government orders; may train staff.
• May liaison with customers and other departments; ensure safe operations.
