Job summary

Boeing Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Structures Product Repair/Modification Technician to support the Structures team. The role involves assembling aircraft structures with precision, reading blueprints and using precision tools under general supervision.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in aircraft structure work and familiarity with schematics and drawings; FAA Airframe/Power Plant certification is desirable. Shift options include 1st and/or 2nd, with relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of performing aircraft structural and mechanical work.
• 2+ years of experience with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and SOPs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft structures and components using jigs, fixtures, drills, deburrers, rivet guns and fasteners under supervision.
• Set up and use precision measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, gauges and calipers.
• Operate common shop tools including brakes, grinders, band saws and presses.
• Replace ribs, stiffeners and stringers from blueprints with proper callouts and layouts.
• Identify corrosion, clean and treat it, fabricate patches, determine rivet patterns and layouts.
• Document maintenance actions, tags, logs and parts requests; order parts as needed.
• Perform close tolerance assembly tasks like shimming, fitting, trimming and aligning.
