Job summary

ASD in Iuka, MS seeks an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3. This hands-on role requires reading blueprints, fabricating structural assemblies with precision drilling, and aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.

You will perform meticulous measuring with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and implement quality controls, while working varied shifts with PPE on the shop floor. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in aerospace/manufacturing structures, is able to pass

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
4+ years of structures/composites experience in aerospace/manufacturing.
Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation and respirator clearance.
Active secret clearance to start.

Responsibilities

Read and understand blueprints.
Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies with precision drilling, countersinking, and calibrated tools.
Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
Perform fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling and reaming.
Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
Ensure quality per statistical process controls and shop procedures.
Operate within shop controls and PPE requirements.
Support continuous improvement in production methods.
