Job summary

Acro Service Corporation in Iuka, MS is seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 for a 1-year contract with strong potential for extension or conversion based on performance.

Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to work 4x10 shifts (Mon-Thu) with occasional nights, weekends, and shift differentials; duties include reading blueprints, fabricating structural assemblies, precision drilling, riveting, and ongoing quality checks.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of structures/composites experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/or maintenance environments.
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies including precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools.
• Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Performing part-fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming.
• Measures parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• May modify assemblies to incorporate changes and verify quality per procedures.
• Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems.
• Use of appropriate PPE on the shop floor.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods and equipment.

Pay Rate: $50-$62/hour on W2

Work Schedule- 4x10 (M-Th)- This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts).

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand blueprints
• Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools

• May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedure
• Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems
• Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years of structures/composites experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, blueprints, etc.
