Job Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic 3
Duration: 1 Year contract with a great possibility of extension or Conversion possible with good performance.
Pay Rate: $50-$62/hour on W2
Must Have Active Secret Clearance
Work Schedule- 4x10 (M-Th)- This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts).
Job Description:
Manufacturing Operations Organization as an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 supporting our Iuka, MS site. This role is for a hands‑on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality and excellent people skills. If you are intrigued by this opportunity keep reading below.
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprints
- Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools
- Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
- Performing part‑fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming
- Measures parts with precision tools such as, micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
- May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedure
- Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems
- Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 4 years of structures/composites experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
- Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, blueprints, etc.
