Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II - Structures at Mountain Home AFB. You will perform moderate-to-complex structural maintenance, focusing on sheet metal and airframe structures, to ensure mission readiness.

The role requires troubleshooting across airframe systems, and you may lead teams while inspecting work. Safety, compliance, and technical accuracy are critical as you support DoD aviation platforms globally.

Qualifications

DoD Secret security clearance required or ability to obtain.
Combined experience in mechanical maintenance and structural sheet metal repair with complex aircraft troubleshooting.
Ability to read technical publications, blueprints, and aircraft logs.
Experience using sheet metal shop equipment and precision diagnostic tools.
Proven ability to manage timelines, prioritize workloads, and lead technicians.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and modify complex aircraft structures and sheet metal components of moderate difficulty.
Diagnose malfunctions and restore airframe and powerplant systems including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
Contribute technical data for MEC and ECOD reports; assist in MWOs.
Prioritize workloads, lead maintenance teams, and inspect/approve work by junior mechanics.
Solve technical issues by interpreting engineering blueprints and manuals.
Operate specialized tools and instruments safely, including torque wrenches and dial indicators.
