Job summary

TSP talent is seeking an Aerospace Assembly Technician in Savannah, GA to perform structural assembly, drilling, riveting, and fitting of aircraft components in a team environment with minimal supervision. You will read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and operation sheets to determine procedures, ensuring each assembly aligns with design specifications and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4 years related experience.
• Experience with Solumina, Smarteam, and Q-stamp preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with hand tools, and ability to work with composite materials.
• Basic computer skills, good shop math skills, and the ability to read technical documents.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and work any shift.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely assemble and fit detail parts and structures, including sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation.
• Rivet structural members and parts using appropriate tools such as pneumatic drills, rivet guns, and shavers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, sketches, and operation sheets to determine procedures.
• Check work for defects and ensure a defect-free assembly before final inspection.
• Instruct and assist team members, develop methods to resolve production issues, and maintain accurate records.
• Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and clamps; shape complex angles per blueprints.
• Perform rework and repairs to ensure conformity and meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to safety regulations, and support continuous improvement activities.
