Job summary

AAA USA in Red Oak, TX is seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Mechanic to fabricate and assemble aircraft sheet metal and composite components for aerospace programs. This role requires strict adherence to drawings, specs and safety standards.

Candidates must have 3+ years of heavy aviation structures experience, pass tests, read blueprints, and be able to work 1st or 2nd shift with overtime. Relocation assistance is available and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy aviation structures sheet metal mechanic experience.
• Pass plate test to demonstrate skill level.
• Ability to pass verbal, virtual and hands-on skills assessments.
• Experienced structural assembly, preferably on Boeing and Gulfstream products.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written, electronic, and verbal instructions.
• Must wear a respirator and safety gear.

• Fabricate and assemble aircraft sheet metal and composite structural components.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
• Perform inspections and maintain accurate documentation.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and production specifications.

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass skills assessments – verbal, virtual and hands on.
• Experienced structural assembly, preferably on Boeing and Gulfstream products.
• Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to wear a respirator and other safety gear.
• Able to use a variety of fabrication hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
• Able to work from blueprints, sketches, work instructions.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Available to work 1st and/or 2nd shift after training and as required.
• Available to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends.
