Job summary

Alliance Ground International (AGI) is seeking an Aircraft Security Guard in Jamaica, NY to protect aircraft, crew, and cargo in a fast-paced aviation environment. You will monitor access, screen passengers and belongings, search aircraft for threats, and transport crew as needed, while maintaining security of cargo and equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, US work authorization, a valid driver’s license, and training such as ramp and SIDA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• US work authorization if located in the United States.
• Ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
• Security Guard Card within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: 1+ year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain controlled access of the aircraft entrance and surroundings.
• Screen individuals and belongings prior to aircraft boarding or airport operation area entry.
• Search aircraft for unauthorized material and/or personnel.
• Transport pilots to and from the aircraft to their destinations.
• Inspect items using x-ray viewing equipment to determine threats.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures and regulations; report suspicious items or activity.
• Maintain security of cargo and company equipment; observe pilferage.
• Complete paperwork and data entry into the company system.
• Follow company procedures to ensure safe operations.
• Be on time, prepared, and safe; work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
