Job summary

Alliance Ground International is seeking an Aircraft Security Guards for roles at GA/Atlanta facilities. You will monitor access, screen individuals, inspect cargo, and ensure security for aircraft, crew, and customers in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain controlled access of the aircraft entrance and its surroundings.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings prior to aircraft boarding or airport operation area entry.
  • Search aircraft for unauthorized material and/or personnel.
  • Transport pilots to and from the aircraft to their destinations.
  • Inspect items using x-ray equipment to detect potential hazards.
  • Report hazards, incidents, or dangerous occurrences to management and follow procedures.
  • Maintain security of cargo and company equipment.
  • Observe pilferage and ensure cargo integrity.
  • Report incidents to supervisor as needed.
  • Keep work area clean and report damaged equipment.
  • Complete paperwork and enter data into company systems as required.
  • Follow company procedures to ensure safe and responsible operation.
  • Complete all required training and stay prepared for shifts.
  • Be punctual, prepared, and safety-conscious.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

As an Aircraft Security Guard, you will be responsible for a wide range of functions to maintain positive control of the aircraft at all times and ensure the safety of the air crew members and cargo. Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain controlled access of the aircraft entrance and its surroundings.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings prior to aircraft boarding or airport operation area entry.
  • Search aircraft for unauthorized material and/or personnel.
  • Transport pilots to and from the aircraft to their destinations.
  • Inspect items, using x-ray viewing equipment, to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations Report all suspicious items or activity to management to determine the correct course of action.
  • Maintain security of cargo and any company equipment.
  • Observe that cargo has not been tampered with or that pilferage has not taken place.
  • Report incidents to supervisor as needed.
  • Maintain work area in clean condition, reporting damaged or broken equipment as needed.
  • Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures and enter data into company's information system as required.
  • Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure we are always operating in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Complete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.
  • Be on time, be prepared, and be safe.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Safety, Security and Compliance

Cooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company. Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security. Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures. Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures. Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies. Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to walk and stand on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
  • Must be able to be alerted to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment to communicate with crew and airport authorities.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions around jet and machinery noises.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Professional presentation: Must have a well-groomed appearance and customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Good communication skills: Security Guards must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment effectively in a professional manner with the flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew.
  • Problem-solving skills: Security Guards must be able to assess security concerns and follow reporting procedure to reduce risk of security breaches.
  • Time management skills: Security Guards must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.
  • Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
  • If required by customer or role access, be able to secure a Customs Seal through the respective governing agency.
  • Must obtain Security Guard Card within 90 day probation period.
Preferred Qualifications

One+ year of relevant experience.
