Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a QA Chief to supervise QA personnel at Davis-Monthan AFB, ensuring maintenance actions meet manufacturer, company, and FAA standards. You will lead quality assurance programs, review safety discrepancies, and drive corrective actions across interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, and customers.

The role requires DoD clearance, hands-on aviation QA experience, and the ability to deploy for CONUS/OCONUS as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience or Graduate Degree with 4 years
• Airframe and Powerplant license (A&P) required
• Active FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) or ability to obtain IA

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA personnel at Davis-Monthan AFB and report to Program QA Manager
• Implement program quality plans, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Review and analyze quality discrepancies, investigate problems, and develop corrective actions
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to meet requirements
• Ensure compliance with L3Harris policies and safety/environment programs
• Coordinate training and ensure QA personnel meet training and certification requirements
