Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an Aircraft Powertrain Repairer to inspect, service, and repair powertrain systems on Army aircraft to keep transport, patrol, and training missions ready to fly.

You will train on repairing quills, transmissions, and related components, with 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. This path includes paid training and opportunity for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a high school graduate (diploma or GED).
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Repair powertrain quills, transmissions, rotary wing hubs, and related components at unit facilities.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, balance, and align powertrain systems.
• Maintain facilities for storage of flammable and hazardous materials.
• Prepare requests for turn-ins and repair parts.
