Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an Aircraft Structural Repairer to inspect, service, and repair structural components on Army aircraft. You will fabricate parts, repair windows, and apply coatings to ensure readiness for training and field missions.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Paid training, a monthly paycheck, education benefits, retirement options, and veteran benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED acceptable.
• Ability to pass physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair/replace aircraft structural components per drawings and manuals.
• Fabricate structural parts using metal-forming techniques and fiberglass.
• Repair transparent windows and enclosures.
• Balance controls and apply primers/paints on surfaces.
• Maintain storage facilities for hazardous materials.
