Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks an Aircraft Structural Repairer to inspect, service, and repair structural components on Army aircraft, ensuring readiness for training and mission deployments.

You will perform repairs per drawings and manuals, fabricate parts, and maintain safety procedures while working with various materials. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and career pathways in civilian aviation fields.

Qualifications

• Must be military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair/replace aircraft structural components per drawings and manuals.
• Fabricate structural parts using metal-forming techniques and fiberglass.
• Repair transparent windows and enclosures.
• Balance aircraft controls and apply primers/paints.
• Maintain storage facilities for flammable materials.
