Job description

Join to apply for the Aircraft Parts Painter B role at Textron Aviation.

What you will be doing as an Aircraft Parts Painter:

You can expect to prepare and spray paint a variety of aircraft parts. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparation of aircraft parts: Check parts to ensure they are clean and not damaged before hand-sanding the surfaces for a smooth surface before masking and priming.
  • Painting various aircraft parts: Use painting techniques (i.e., spray paint, dip paint) to coat all crevices of aircraft parts with primer or paint based on specifications.
  • Inspection: Carefully inspect parts to ensure no dirt, dust, or other foreign objects appear in paintwork before baking in oven.
What you need to be successful:
  • High School education, GED, or a Bronze Level WorkKeys certification is required.
  • At least one year of manufacturing spray painting or related experience is required.
  • Experience using polyurethane, Hexamine chromium, and various types of paint is helpful.
  • Attention to detail and ability to read paint (wet, dry, blotchy) is helpful to ensure efficiency.
