Job description

What you will be doing as an Aircraft Parts Painter:

You can expect to prepare and spray paint a variety of aircraft parts. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  1. Preparation of aircraft parts:
  2. Check parts to ensure they are clean and not damaged, then hand-sand surfaces for a smooth finish before masking and priming.
  3. Select and adjust spray guns according to instructions while mixing paint per specifications.
  4. Painting aircraft parts:
  5. Apply primer or paint using techniques such as spray painting or dipping to coat all crevices of aircraft parts as per specifications.
  6. Inspect parts carefully to ensure no dirt, dust, or foreign objects are present before baking in an oven.

What you need to be successful:

  • High School diploma, GED, or Bronze Level WorkKeys certification.
  • Minimum one year of manufacturing spray painting or related experience.
  • Experience with polyurethane, Hexamine chromium, and various paints is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret paint conditions (wet, dry, blotchy) to ensure efficiency.
