Job description

What you will be doing as an Aircraft Parts Painter:

You can expect to prepare and spray paint a variety of aircraft parts. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

1. Preparation of aircraft parts:
   • Check parts to ensure they are clean and not damaged, then hand-sand the surfaces for a smooth finish before masking and priming.
2. Selecting and adjusting spray equipment:
   • Adjust spray guns according to instructions and mix paint according to specifications.
3. Painting aircraft parts:
   • Apply primer or paint to all crevices using techniques such as spray painting or dipping, based on specifications.
4. Inspection:
   • Inspect parts to ensure no dirt, dust, or foreign objects are present before baking in the oven.

What you need to be successful:

• High School diploma, GED, or Bronze Level WorkKeys certification.
• At least one year of manufacturing spray painting or related experience.
• Experience with polyurethane, Hexamine chromium, and various paints is helpful.
• Attention to detail and ability to read paint conditions (wet, dry, blotchy) is beneficial.
