Job summary

JSX is seeking an Aircraft Parts Buyer to secure aircraft parts, tools, and materials for maintenance and operations, ensuring on-time delivery and regulatory compliance. You will source from approved vendors, negotiate terms, and maintain accurate records to support airworthiness.

In this role, you’ll manage AOG and critical purchases, collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Stores, and provide after-hours support during aircraft on ground situations.

Qualifications

• Understanding of aircraft part traceability, certifications (8130, Form One), and airworthiness requirements.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Procure parts, components, consumables, and tools aligned with maintenance schedules.
• Manage AOG/MEL/NEF urgent purchases to minimize downtime.
• Evaluate and source from approved vendors; negotiate pricing and delivery.
• Monitor stock with Stores/Warehouse to prevent shortages or excess.
• Ensure all parts meet FAA and regulatory requirements.
• Review and submit repair orders for wheels, brakes, and APUs; source parts as needed.
• Maintain purchase orders, traceability records, and certification docs.

In this role, you will source vendors, negotiate prices and delivery schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate records. To succeed, you should have strong knowledge of aviation industry standards and supply chain logistics.A Day in the Life:Your day will be dynamic and detail-oriented, focused on keeping our aircraft fully supported and airworthy. Typical responsibilities include:Parts Procurement : Secure aircraft parts, components, consumables, and tools in alignment with company requirements and maintenance schedules.AOG & Critical Purchases : Manage time-sensitive AOG/MEL/NEF consumable purchases to minimize aircraft downtime.Supplier Management : Evaluate and source from approved vendors, brokers, and OEM/aftermarket suppliers—negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective purchasing.Inventory Coordination : Monitor stock levels and collaborate with Stores/Warehouse teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory.Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all purchased parts meet FAA and other regulatory requirements.Repair Orders & Quotes : Review and submit repair orders for wheels, brakes, landing gear, and APUs.
