Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Paint Technician for the weekend shift in Grand Junction, CO. This full-time, on-site role supports painting aircraft interiors and exteriors, including detailing, layout of stripes, and color matching.

The position offers a 3-day weekend schedule with a shift differential and benefits starting at hire. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; vo-tech training or on-the-job painting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vo-tech in paint or on-the-job experience is preferred but not required.
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer.
• Blowing and cleaning aircraft with thinner.
• Washing the paint booth.
• Applying all layers of paint to include top coat.
• Laying out stripe and design schemes.
• Prep and scuff paint to get ready for trim.
• Re-masking aircraft and detail work
• Inspect completed paint jobs.
• Paint mixing and paint matching
• Communicate clearly in English
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
