Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Paint Technician for our Grand Junction, CO shop. This full-time, on-site role involves painting, masking, and detailing aircraft to client specifications in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vo-tech or on-the-job training in paint preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license suitable for airline travel is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer.
• Blowing and cleaning aircraft with thinner.
• Washing the paint booth.
• Applying all layers of paint, including top coat.
• Laying out stripe and design schemes.
• Prep and scuff paint for trim.
• Re-masking aircraft and detailed work.
• Inspect completed paint jobs.
• Paint mixing and color matching.
• Communicate in English effectively.
