Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Paint Technician for the 2nd shift in Grand Junction, CO. The role involves painting aircraft surfaces, masking, sanding, and detailed prep work in a fast-paced hangar environment.

The ideal candidate will have aviation or related paint experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license or passport. Benefits start on day one, with opportunities for training and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Vo-tech in paint preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for travel and/or a passport is ideal.
• Experience in aviation, auto, RV, marine or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer.
• Blowing and cleaning aircraft with thinner.
• Washing the paint booth.
• Applying all layers of paint including top coat.
• Laying out stripe and design schemes.
• Prep and scuff paint for trim.
• Re-masking aircraft and detail work.
• Inspect completed paint jobs.
• Paint mixing and paint matching.
• Communicate clearly in English.
