Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Paint Technician for the 2nd shift in Chattanooga, TN. The role involves preparing surfaces, masking areas, applying primer and multiple coats, and inspecting finished paint jobs to ensure high quality.

The position supports a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3pm-1am) with a 10%–15% premium, paid lunch, 3 day weekends, and opportunities for training and transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; vo-tech in paint preferred but not required.
• 0-2 years paint experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or passport ideal.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer and applying all layers of paint, including top coat.
• Inspect completed paint jobs and ensure quality.
