Job summary

Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, Nebraska, seeks a Paint Specialist to prepare aircraft surfaces, apply primers and topcoats, mask surfaces, and ensure coatings meet manufacturer specs and FAA procedures. You will work in a safe environment with PPE and fall protection, contributing to high-quality finishes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and aircraft painting experience; relocation and a comprehensive benefits package are provided to team members.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous mechanical experience or auto body accreditation preferred.
• Minimum of one year aircraft paint experience or three years related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Apply primers and topcoats using proper techniques and maintain spray equipment.
• Mask and paint stripes per designer debrief and product knowledge.
• Identify areas to mask or polish and perform sanding as needed.
• Mask aircraft and apply coatings per specifications; remove old paint with appropriate removers.
• Paint landing gear, fuel caps, antennas and door frames as needed; inspect and report quality issues.
• Prepare and sign off on records and work orders per procedures and FAA regulations.
• Etch and apply conversion coatings to aluminum to ensure primer adhesion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
