Job summary

Duncan Aviation is seeking a Paint Specialist to prepare aircraft surfaces, apply primers and topcoats, mask areas, and ensure quality through final prep. The role supports uniform finishes per manufacturer specifications and Duncan-approved procedures in a safe environment.

Responsibilities include masking, stripping, and painting various aircraft components, with documentation and training logs maintained per FAA and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous mechanical experience or auto body accreditation preferred.
• Minimum of one year aircraft paint experience or three years related experience required.
• Minimum of two years aircraft paint experience required.

Responsibilities

• Apply primers/topcoats with proper technique and maintain equipment.
• Mask and paint stripes per designer debrief and product knowledge.
• Identify areas to mask or sand and address problem areas on surfaces.
• Mask surfaces per specs and remove old paint with remover and pressure wash.
• Paint landing gear, fuel caps, antennas, and door frames as directed.
• Ensure quality via visual inspection and report issues to supervisor.
• Prepare and sign off records per procedures and FAA regulations.
• Apply conversion coatings to aluminum surfaces to improve paint adhesion.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
