Job summary

A leading aerospace engineering firm in Greenville, TX is seeking a Specialist, Mechanical Design Engineer to participate in aircraft system designs and installations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience in mechanical design within the aerospace industry or an equivalent work experience. Proficiency in CAD software is necessary. This is an onsite role requiring strong communication skills and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of Mechanical Design experience in aerospace.
• Graduate Degree with 2 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
• In lieu of a degree, 8 years of Mechanical Design experience required.
• Minimum 2 years CAD skills (preferred NX/Unigraphics).
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop layouts and prepare engineering drawings.
• Coordinate design activities with various departments.
• Work with senior-level design engineers on various aircraft systems.
• Ability to work in an aircraft hangar and board/exit aircraft.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
