Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Associate, Mechanical Engineering to contribute to the design of aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems. You will work with senior engineers, develop layouts, create engineering drawings, and coordinate with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost.

Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Civil Engineering

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Civil Engineering or have completed within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

Participates in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations.
Applys basic engineering design and analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for integrated system design.
Develop layouts and prep engineering drawings; coordinate design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost.
Use world-class, three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools; work with senior-level design engineers on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems.
