Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Greenville, TX is seeking a Sr. Associate, Mechanical Engineer (Design) to design detailed parts and assemblies for aircraft structures and mission equipment installations. You will develop layouts and drawings using world-class CAD tools, coordinating with multiple teams to meet requirements at minimum cost.

The role requires CAD expertise, strong communication, and willingness to travel, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant design experience for aircraft structures.
• Graduate degree with 0–2 years of experience is acceptable for this role.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum 6 years designing aircraft structures and related installations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of detailed parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures.
• Prepare engineering drawings and coordinate with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production.
• Use 3D CAD tools to develop layouts and ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Travel as needed and maintain the ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally; support other duties as assigned.
