Job summary

M1 Support Services' Aircraft Mechanic performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and component removal/installation on aircraft using schematics and directives. Maintains documentation to meet USAF and company requirements, supports engine removal/installation, and operates ground support equipment while adhering to safety, FOD prevention, and tool-control programs.

Qualifications

Must have working knowledge of jet aircraft systems and common aircraft hand tools.
Must be able to read and comprehend technical data and manuals.
18 months of general aircraft maintenance experience required; 1 year on applicable aircraft in past 3 years or a familiarization course.
Possession of a valid driver's license is necessary for flight line driving privileges.

Responsibilities

Perform aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and component removal/install using technical data and directives.
Conduct inspections, servicing, and engine removal/install; document maintenance per USAF and company directives.
Operate ground support equipment and report discrepancies; assist in aircraft towing and movement.
Order parts and supplies as needed and ensure compliance with safety and environmental programs.
