AAR Corp is seeking aircraft maintenance technicians to join our team at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience and may hold FAA A&P credentials.

This is a full-time, on-site role with shift flexibility depending on needs. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read tech manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate/heavy maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Perform basic aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Maintain aircraft records in compliance with FAA and company requirements.
  • Read and follow technical publications, schematics, and drawings.
  • Use FAA approved data (IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.
  • Adhere to work schedule, demonstrate punctuality, and maintain quality.
  • Read/interpret maintenance manuals and ensure airframe repairs meet deadlines and standards.

Overview

AAR is seeking aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT). The A&P Technician II is ideal for experienced A&P maintenance professionals and veterans who may or may not have their FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certifications along with a minimum of 5 years of aviation maintenance experience.

Work Location: Onsite at AAR (at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK.)

Schedule: Full-Time/non-exempt and variable, 40-50-hour workweek. Supervisor determines shift/days required, but we can discuss in the interview process. Typically, more flexible candidates will be preferred.

  • 1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm or 5:30am to 4:00pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12:00am or 3:30pm to 2:00am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Able to perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision.
  • Perform basic aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks under supervision.
  • Ensure aircraft are safely maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards.
  • Use FAA approved/accepted data (i.e., IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.
  • Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements.
  • Perform airframe repairs as assigned while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Read and follow technical publications, schematics, and/or mechanical drawings.
  • Use a PC, iPad, and basic computer applications and programs.
  • Adherence to work schedule, punctuality, and self-motivation.
  • Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Primary Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 5+ years aviation maintenance experience.
  • Some general maintenance experience (including relevant experience outside of aviation).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Able to skillfully use the minimum tools required.
  • Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing).
Preferred Requirements
  • Previous maintenance experience with aircraft including helicopters.
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license (A&P).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.
  • Frequently: Lifting <=40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near <20", far >20', and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights >=4', working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
  • Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry <=50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
Screening Requirements
  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a DOT drug screen, physical, background check, 3-year employment verification, 2-year DOT verification, and education verification. These screening requirements must clear prior to the start date.
  • Candidate must possess U.S. work authorization and pass E-Verify within 3 business days of start date.
  • Must qualify for a Will Rogers World Airport badge within 30 days from start date.
