Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanics in Moline, Illinois. You will inspect, test, adjust, repair, and maintain airframe and engine systems to ensure airworthiness and safety.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, troubleshooting with manufacturer data, and leading projects as directed. A valid Airframe & Powerplant license is required, with FAA IA preferred and the Blue stamp designation pursued.

Qualifications

• Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
• Must obtain and retain designation as an Elliott Aviation Production Inspector (Blue stamp)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Thorough knowledge of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145
• Aircraft maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs of a complex nature on various aircraft systems and components
• Troubleshoot and function test using manufacturer’s technical documents across multiple airframe, engine, and component systems
• Lead aircraft projects as directed by the Crew Chief and Supervisor
• Prepare and complete required maintenance and modification documentation in accordance with FAA Airworthiness Regulations, Elliott Aviation Policies and Processes, FAA Approved Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, and OJT logs
• Locate and use appropriate technical data to accomplish tasks efficiently and correctly
• Support, maintain, and comply with all Federal, OSHA, State, and local regulations as well as Elliott Aviation’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Processes
