Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanics in Des Moines, IA. You will inspect, test, adjust, repair, and maintain airframe and engine systems across a range of tasks.

Responsibilities include inspections, troubleshooting with manufacturer manuals, and leading projects as directed by Crew Chief. Compliance with FAA regulations and Elliott Aviation policies is required, along with a valid A&P license and related certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to attain AOA badge or airport requirements.
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
• Must obtain Elliott Aviation Production Inspector (Blue stamp).
• Airframe & Powerplant License required.
• Knowledge of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145.
• Aircraft maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs of a complex nature on aircraft systems.
• Troubleshoot using manufacturer’s documents across airframe, engine, and components.
• Lead aircraft projects as directed by Crew Chief and Supervisor.
• Prepare maintenance and modification documents per FAA regulations and Elliott Aviation processes.
• Locate and use technical data to complete tasks efficiently and correctly.
• Support compliance with all regulations and Elliott Aviation policies.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
