Job summary

M1 Support Services, LP1 is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic at Sheppard AFB, TX for the SAM-UPT-0493 position. The role requires use of schematics and tools to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems, perform inspections, and document maintenance actions.

This position offers a 3rd shift schedule, a union environment, and a salary of $44.14 per hour. Relocation is not offered; travel is listed as part of duties. Candidates must meet experience requirements and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 months of general aircraft maintenance experience required; one year in past three years on applicable aircraft or completion of a familiarization course.
• Reading, writing, and ability to comprehend technical data required.

Responsibilities

• Use schematics, drawings, and manuals to troubleshoot and replace aircraft system components including removal and installation of engines as needed.
• Comply with FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs.
• Perform aircraft conditional inspections.
• Perform all required aircraft servicing tasks.
• Operate ground support equipment and report discrepancies prior to use.
• Perform all tasks related to ground movement of aircraft.
• Document records as required by USAF and Company directives.
• Order parts and supplies as needed.
• Follow technical data, manuals, regulations and other maintenance directives.
