Job summary

M1 Support Services is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic (T6A, T38, IFF, UPT) at Sheppard AFB, TX. The role requires ensuring aircraft readiness, performing servicing, inspections, and component replacement in a regulated environment.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent with related coursework, practical tool knowledge, and the ability to read technical data. Union position with full-time commitment and first shift availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized courses desirable.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical data.
• Must possess valid driver's license to obtain flight line privileges.

Responsibilities

• Use schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications for operating, testing, removing, troubleshooting and replacing aircraft system components, including engines as required.
• Comply with FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs.
• Perform aircraft conditional inspections and all required servicing tasks.
• Operate ground support equipment and document discrepancies prior to use.
• Manage ground movement of aircraft and maintain required records per USAF and company directives.
• Order parts and supplies as needed and adhere to maintenance directives.
