Aircraft Maintenance Technician Shop Floor Lead

Position Overview: Rainier Flight Service seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Shop Floor Lead in Renton, WA. The role involves leading and training mechanics, ensuring safety and airworthiness, and maintaining compliance with FAA and manufacturer guidelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and train shop mechanics under the Maintenance Manager's direction.
2. Integrate training programs to standardize procedures across the Maintenance Department.
3. Ensure adherence to maintenance guidelines, manufacturer recommendations, and Rainier policies.
4. Perform aircraft maintenance and repairs in compliance with regulations.
5. Communicate job progress, including time and material estimates.
6. Prepare documentation and maintenance records as per regulations.
7. Coordinate with customers on technical issues.
8. Research parts, complete parts requests, and ensure timely ordering.
9. Review service bulletins, service letters, and ADs for estimates and decisions.
10. Complete work orders and submit to Maintenance Manager promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 months of general aviation experience.
• Current A&P certificate.
• One year of experience in General Aviation with a valid A&P.
• Experience working with Cessna 172s and Cessna 162 Light Sport Aircraft.
• Familiarity with in-house flight scheduling and maintenance software.
• Ability to coordinate with training programs and understand IA certification requirements within 12 months.
• Experience with NeedleNine and Ebis Aviation Maintenance Software.
