Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the maintenance and safety of our EC135 rotor-wing fleet. This full-time role supports Med-Trans operations, ensuring timely, high-quality transport services for patients.

Requirements include EC135 maintenance experience, 3+ years turbine helicopter work with recent rotor-wing exposure, an A&P license, and FAA knowledge. Candidates must pass FAA drug testing and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum EC135 maintenance experience.
  • 3+ years turbine helicopter maintenance with 6 months recent rotor-wing experience.
  • Valid A&P license required.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations.
  • EMS and aircraft maintenance systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on EC135 aircraft.
  • Manage inventory and update equipment tracking logs; process replacement requests.
  • Document service paperwork and FAA information per procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment for AMTs and crew.
  • Coordinate with departments, vendors, and team members to facilitate work.

We’re hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
  • Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • EC135 Maintenance experience
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid State issued Driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
  • Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
  • Related experience under CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience
