Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) for rotor-wing work in Texas. This full-time role offers a starting salary of $65,239 to $113,480 per year plus a $12,500 Float Stipend, a $2,080 IA stipend, and a $12,500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include mechanical inspections, repairs, updating logs, and completing FAA paperwork. Candidates must have Bell 407 maintenance experience, an A&P license, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work a flexible

Qualifications

  • Bell 407 maintenance experience and turbine helicopter experience.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and EMS/aerial operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including 24/7 on-call rotations.
  • Strong documentation and FAA paperwork practices.
  • High school diploma or GED and a valid A&P certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical inspections and repairs, and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks, update equipment logs, and document part expenditures.
  • Document service paperwork and FAA information, adhering to policies and security standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Coordinate with departments, vendors, and team members.

Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Float A&P Mechanic - Rotor Wing FULL-TIME Opportunity in Texas
  • Starting Salary: $65,239 - $113,480 annually
  • Float Stipend: $12,500
  • IA Stipend: $2,080
  • Sign-On Bonus: $12,500
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
  • Sustain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow AMTs and the operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bell 407 Maintenance experience
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid State issued Driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Understanding of EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations
  • Acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
  • Ability to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
  • Related experience under CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience
