Job summary

REACH Air Medical Services in Napa, CA is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to support EC135 maintenance, perform inspections, and ensure safe, timely patient transport. The AMT will handle inspections, airworthiness documentation, and coordination with flight crews.

Requires 3 years turbine helicopter experience, valid A&P license, and a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations. On-site work in Napa with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years turbine powered helicopter experience.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid State issued Driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• EMS Systems and maintenance planning knowledge.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and on-call rotations.
• Must pass FAA drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and push 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections and repairs, and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks, stock levels, and part expenditures; update logs and document requests.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment for aircraft maintenance and flight crew.
• Communicate effectively with departments, vendors, and team members to coordinate efforts.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and operations teams.

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Helicopter Mechanic FULL-TIME Opportunity in Napa, CA

• Starting Salary: $78,287 - $113,480 annually
• IA Stipend 2,080
• Sign-On Bonus 12,500

We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Reach Air Medical Services. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years turbine powered helicopter experience
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS Systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135 maintenance experience or equivalent
• FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
• Related experience under CFR Parts 91, 135 and 145
• Autopilot maintenance experience
• Avionics and electrical repair experience
