Job summary

REACH Air Medical Services in Napa, CA is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to maintain our EC135 airframe and support safe, on-time patient transport. This full-time role requires hands-on maintenance, documentation, and coordination with the Lead Technician and flight crew to uphold our high safety and service standards.

Starting salary ranges from $78,287 to $113,480 annually, with additional IA stipend and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years turbine powered helicopter experience.
• Valid Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license.
• Valid State driver’s license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• FAA knowledge and compliance.
• EMS systems and maintenance planning experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and on-call rotations.
• FAA drug and alcohol testing program eligibility.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on helicopters and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory, log parts, and document expenditures.
• Document FAA paperwork and adhere to SOPs and security policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment for aircraft maintenance and flight crew.
• Coordinate with departments, vendors, and team members for repair work.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and operations teams.

• Starting Salary: $78,287 - $113,480 annually

We’re hiring anAircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Reach Air Medical Services. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years turbine powered helicopter experience
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS Systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Ability to work aflexible scheduleincluding overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135 maintenance experience or equivalent
• FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
• Related experience under CFR Parts 91, 135 and 145
• Autopilot maintenance experience
• Avionics and electrical repair experience
