Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support on-site operations in Wheeling, IL.

The role involves mechanical tasks, panel removal/installation, and troubleshooting on civil aircraft, with advancement through AMT I–IV as you gain expertise. Applicants should have an Airframe or Powerplant license, with 0–2 years for AMT I, 2–4 for AMT II, 4–6+ for AMT III, and 6+ for AMT IV, and be able to work under supervision when required.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I.
• 2–4 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT II; corporate aircraft preferred.
• 4–6+ years’ experience for AMT III; full knowledge of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove/install panels and components; troubleshoot aircraft systems.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; prepare for performance runs.
