Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support maintenance, repair and inspections of civilian aircraft in a hangar environment. The role covers AMT I–IV levels with progression based on license and experience, and requires adherence to FAA guidelines and safety rules.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, Airframe or Powerplant license, and be prepared to work with a team under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required or preferred depending on AMT level.
• Must be able to read and interpret maintenance data and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft system/component issues.
• Defueling aircraft.
• Engine removal and installations.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Assist in taxiing and performance runs.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Navigate electronic training, manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate in English clearly, in speaking and writing.
