Job summary

West Star Aviation in Illinois is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Technicians at AMT I–IV levels. You will perform mechanical tasks, troubleshoot systems, remove/install engines, and support ground operations in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-6+ years in aviation maintenance, depending on AMT level, with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system issues.
• De-fuel aircraft and perform engine removals/installations.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in performance runs.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Move aircraft and assist in taxiing; maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Use basic computer systems to access training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
