Job summary

West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, CO is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support service on civilian aircraft. You will perform mechanical tasks, remove/install panels, troubleshoot systems, and assist with inspections in a fast-paced hangar environment.

AMT I–IV career tracks are offered, with licensing requirements (Airframe/Powerplant) and experience from 0–2 up to 6+ years. Strong benefits begin on day one and opportunities for growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Driver's license ideal but not mandatory.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred.
• 0–2 years aviation maintenance experience (AMT I).
• 2–4 years aviation maintenance experience (AMT II).
• 4–6+ years aviation maintenance experience (AMT III).
• 6+ years with A&P mastery (AMT IV Master).

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components.
• Assist in taxiing and performance runs.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
