Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair some of the world's most sophisticated civilian aircraft.

The role includes troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing inspections, and ensuring airworthiness. You will work on-site, with a high school diploma or equivalent and an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• A valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• Defueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assisting performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
